That was the weekend then!

Photos all of Sunday at Murrayfield: NZ vs Scotland Rugby World Cup.

I collected Andrew and his Mum from Glasgow Airport following their wee trip to canada...... they looked tired but both agreed they had had a lovely time.

After dropping Mum off for a long sleep and all of Andrews bits and bobs back at his flat we headed over to Edinburgh.
Andrew had brought back lovely Candadian tops for myself, Mike, Pete, and Andy. A beautiful hand painted silk scarf which i just adore .... and loads of wee nick nacks, thanks Sweetheart. We spent a lovely romantic saturday night together.
Downtown on Sunday was crowded with rugby fans .... a fab carnival atmosphere with both Kiwis and Scots enjoying the day ..... the game was as expected considering Scotland only fielded a second team, but hey the day was worth the expensive tickets, thanks again to Andrew ...he is so good to me !
My only complaint and I'm sure one felt by the majority of the 65,000 there: Edinburgh could do with a wee think about the way beer is sold at future games .... it was frustrating at the least, but embarrassing as a home fan to be part of such a chaotic system if there in fact was one.
Andrew and I soaked up the atmosphere following the game, along with a few beers and then had a very yummy and much needed Thai meal in Gorgie Road. Sleep came easily for us both ...... Andrew had a good reason as he had been travelling and jet lag etc .... me I was just drunk ....... and happy.
Back in the real world.
June had managed to hold off having her baby while I was enjoying the rugby which is very appreciated. So we are still waiting .......
Andy (that's son 4) was out at midnight to get a copy of Halos 3 ..... he and a pal spent all night playing.
I am trying to sort out a contract blunder (on my part it seems) with Virgin Active... don't ask .....
Roll on another full rugby weekend .... and June's baby :-)

Marcel Marceau 22 March 1923 - 22 Septempber 2007
No other performer did more to re-establish the widespread popularity of mime than Marceau, who described it as "the drama of silence that speaks direct to mind and emotion". For 40 years he toured his silent one-man show all over the world, seeming to conjure out of thin air butterflies, chairs, lions, the bars of a prison cell, or the panic of a mask-maker unable to rip the grin from his face.

A Week Alone....

This week I have spent missing Andrew, my partner of almost a year now and my best friend. He has taken his Mum off to Vancouver for a holiday.

Photos which are all sensational, sent to me from Vancouver by Andrew.

I have been reflecting ...... about my life and my relationship.

Answers?

My life is needing a massive change and I have put into place the beginnings of those changes. I will try to renew my Midwifery registration and regain work in the field I love. This is no easy task and may not be an achievable goal, but I will try.

My relationship ..... I love Andrew and miss his company and his positive input into my life, roll on Saturday when he returns.

What else is happening.... June my pal and I hasten to add my boss, is about to give birth to baby number 3 ..... she is delighted and we have moved into the waiting phase......
As a Shiatsu practitioner I am stimulating those induction points and standing by ......

Connor, my son (3)Mike's cockateal had a lucky escape from Spot the cat. Although I do think Spot was pretty unimpressed with the bird. Mike is into metal music and Connor sits on his guitar head banging along...... yes a bird with attitude.
Pete, son(2) is managing to get up at 6:45 for work for a second week Yippeeeee!
Andy, son (4) has dropped Advanced Higher Music so he can spend more time on ' having a life'
And what of Tom, son(1) I hear you all ask ........ he lives with his Dad and contacts me when and if he needs something ...... all must be OK just now.

Love cannot survive if you just give it scraps of yourself, scraps of your time, scraps of your thoughts.
