Weekends keep getting better ......

Well what can I say ....... well done Celtic winning another SPL Championship!

It has been a delightful weekend, the sun shone and I lay out in it, I finished reading Storms of Silence, a brilliant book.

Allan & I had a great night out on the town.

Abbie celebrated her First Communion and Confirmation with a family gathering.

My hedge cutter has been repaired .... thanks again to Allan and I have promised to be more careful in future ...... I watched the PGA golf (oh yes a new sport for me ) I was amazed at how exciting the final actually was .... I also watched the rugby 7's, fantastic stuff, hopefully even better next weekend as I will be at Murryfield. I am looking forward to it.

The weekend ended watching Shrek2 with Peter & Andrew on Sunday night ....good stuff !

Back at work today, but the sun is still shining and everything is OK in my world for now.

Not yet the time for a puppy ........

Here we are Monday again ....... Puppy thoughts on hold again as the Inland Revenue decided to demand a repayment of overpaid tax credit ...... that will take me the next 2 years to do! so the budget is not able to cope with both that and a puppy expense. I am sad and upset with my sons, who if they all paid their way would free up my funds to use for me..... if only life was that straight forward.

Allan & I went to see Iron Man and although I had my doubts to begin with, was really impressed and enjoyed it. lovely night to remember.

An amazing thunder storm on Saturday saw the end to that wonderful sunshine ...... for now anyway.

Celtic got the 3 points on Sunday ...... so did Rangers on Saturday but only due to a ref that ... ... ... 'had no bottle!'

Dundee United are to complain to SFA chief executive Gordon Smith about referee Mike McCurry's handling of Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Rangers.

United were denied what seemed a clear penalty and had a goal chalked off for offside in an explosive second half.

The fight for the Championship is still on !

Mike is happy in his Postman Pat van, Pete is still smiling, Andy is thinking that he is working too hard ........ hmmmmm ! Tom I haven't seen this week but hear he's fine.

Summer feelings ......

Summer seems to have arrived! Glorious sunshine and warm days just such a delight. I hope it continues until October at least......
It seems I am emerging from my emotional winter too, having spent a couple of very pleasant evenings with Allan. Thoughts of puppies have started again too ....... maybe this time the time is right ?
