time passes .....

Original.com - Apple Season

......this could drive you mad ..... it had that effect on me ..... enjoy!

It's been ages since I posted or it seems that way to me. I have been busy .... the accounts are well on their way to being finished, and despite various bugs at the clinic we are all OK at the moment. Well, Mandy came off her bike at Glen Tress and is bruised top to toe, and June is fighting off labyrinthitis. Me I am a strong old horse and seem to be good just now.

Solo had his first swimming lesson at Yellow Graigs Beach on Sunday, a glorious sunny day. Kay, Alistair & their 'girls' Ghia & Cara, Allan, myself and Solo set off, it was a brilliant day the dogs loved it. Solo a little nervous, but as laid back as ever. Kay, in the end was in the tide up to her middle, well almost, must have been freezing! We warmed her up with soup and rolls in lovely wee pub.

I have been reading The Knife of Never Letting Go, it won The Guardian's Best Young Adult Book, this year. I strongly recommend it, Author Patrick Ness. I also have waiting to be read, Towards Another Summer by Janet Frame. She is a NZ writer who won my heart when I was at High School a brilliant writer.

Mandy, Ewan,Allan, Solo & I are off to Plockton for a long weekend. Mandy & Ewan off hill walking & mountain climbing ..... Allan & I have found a couple of lovely seafood restaurants ..... and some nice easy dog walks. I am really looking forward to being away and spending some time with Allan.

Before that though, Allan is away tomorrow for a golfing weekend down south some place....... so I will spend time working with Solo on his 'standing' and clicker training, trying to get some much needed housework done ...oh yes and reading ..... hmmmmmm sounds good to me!
