The world keeps turning

My thoughts today are going to .....

The elections in Zimbawe .......

Life expectancy, already only 34 years for a Zimbabwean woman, will continue to fall. Mugabe, who at 84 has lived two-and-a-half times as long as the average Zimbabwean can expect today, says that another six years in power will be the final victory over a "miserable" colonialist Britain, and that Zimbabwe will flourish again with the "empowerment" of its people through the redistribution of white-owned farms.

My thoughts are for all the people trying to make it through their day to day lives and I feel embarrassed that I complain about such silly things in my life.

Old Firm Match
Being a Celtic supporter I am hoping for the three points
.....however in the words of James Traynor in the Daily Record.

If Rangers lose today's Old Firm match at Ibrox the end-of-season demands that have been piling up ahead of them would suddenly appear too formidable.
But should Celtic fail to win there would be little doubt. Their chances of retaining the SPL Championship wouldn't just be thin, they'd be anorexic. Alex Salmond would have more chance of winning Slimmer of the Year.

Mandy is busy on a massage course this w/e, her Rosie Rabbit is well recovered from surgery and has returned to her hutch ... much to Mandy's relief I think.
June is away for the w/e with her family for a much deserved break. I had a great cuddle of not so wee Josh yesterday, now 5 months old and a delight.

I hope everyone has a happy & peaceful weekend .
